Lymington's High Street, Quay Hill and the Georgian townhouses running down to the river give the town one of the most attractive — and most demanding — roofscapes on the south coast. Corrosion resistance matters here: stainless fixings, quality lead detailing and rainwater goods that won't rust out in a few winters. Buckland, Pennington and Woodside sit slightly further back from the water and fare better, but they still share the same damp, salty air that makes breathability and ventilation worth getting right.
